Some Stellar Moments From The Sidelines of the Red Carpet

As a fan of the movies and an autograph hound. it's easy to dismiss my kind as a pathetic bunch. I'd often hear people comment stuff like, "Don't you think it's a bit desperate what you do?" or " Oh, so your one of those annoying fans screaming while the celebrities get papped?".

But you know what? I don't regret what I do. I enjoy meeting celebrities and asking for their autographs. Sure, it can drain you sometimes. Especially when a celebrity is in a bad mood. It's awful thinking you might have pissed one of your favorite stars. However, when they do give you their autographs, it's so gratifying. It's as if you've become a friend, even for just that moment, that they entrust to you their signature. And of course, the chase is always half the fun. The screaming is fun too. The way I see it, autograph hounding is just another excuse to shout out loud!

One instance I'll never forget was when I went to the red carpet premiere of "Interstellar." I and a couple of my autograph-hounding colleagues went and got the cast's autographs on our copies of the movie's poster. And we had a lot of fun too.

For one thing, Matthew McConaughey really is that cool a guy. His mega-watt smile was blinding and his charisma was out of this world. And when he approached us, I never felt an air of arrogance about him. He even told my friend, as he filmed it, his iconic phrase, "Alright, alright, alright!" That was amazing! And so was Anne Hathway. I mean, damn! That girl has the best skin I've ever seen. It was smooth and clear, I was transfixed as she was signing my posters. I hoped I didn't come off as creepy though.

Michael Caine was cool too. I mean, for a movie icon of his stature, we were blessed to have been in his presence at all! The same with John Lithgow. These were actors of the highest caliber. The mere fact that we got their autograph still astounds us. I admit, every time I look at my framed poster with their autographs, I still get chills.

In all honesty, I wouldn't have gotten such memorable moments in my life had I not made autograph hounding a lifelong hobby. Well no, for me, it's more of a calling. A fulfilling one at that! And I don't care what any of you think of it otherwise!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
