Authentication Policy

1Scope

This policy describes how Poster Memorabilia sources, authenticates, documents, and guarantees the hand-signed pieces it sells. It applies to every piece sold by Poster Memorabilia, past and present.

2Sourcing

Every piece begins with careful selection. Through long-established relationships within the signed memorabilia industry, Poster Memorabilia curates authentic hand-signed pieces that meet our standards before entering our catalogue. While many sourcing relationships remain confidential, every item is reviewed through our in-house authentication process and backed by our Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee.

3The Piece

Every piece is hand-signed by the artist(s) named in the listing. The poster itself is a high-quality reproduction at standard collector size — 27 × 40 in for film, 24 × 36 in for music — and is described as such. The signatures are the authentic, guaranteed element of every piece.

4Authentication

Every signature is examined and authenticated in-house, under the direction of our founder, whose experience in signed memorabilia spans more than twenty years. Authentication is performed before a piece is offered for sale. We do not outsource authentication, and no third party participates in it: the name on the certificate is ours, and the liability behind it is ours.

5Documentation

Upon purchase, each piece is individually catalogued and issued:

• a serial-numbered Certificate of Authenticity, issued by Poster Memorabilia;
• a matching tamper-evident hologram affixed to the certificate; and
• a registry record at AutographRegistry.com, our registration and documentation system.

The serial on the certificate, the number on the hologram, and the registry record are created together and correspond to one another. Certificates are dated on issue and are never backdated.

6Registration

AutographRegistry is owned and operated by Poster Memorabilia. It records pieces; it does not perform authentication. A registry record confirms that a piece was sold and documented by Poster Memorabilia under the Certificate ID shown.

7The Guarantee

Every signature authenticated and sold by Poster Memorabilia is covered by our Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee: if a signature we sold is ever proven inauthentic, the full purchase price is refunded, with no time limit. This guarantee covers every piece we have ever sold, whatever certificate accompanies it.

8Limitations

Poster Memorabilia authenticates only the pieces it sells. We do not authenticate, appraise, or offer opinions on items purchased elsewhere, and nothing in our documentation constitutes an appraisal, valuation, or investment advice.
