Coming Back for "The Mummy Returns"

I don't' care what anyone else says, "The Mummy" was an awesome movie franchise. It was perfect for its time—the 1990s—and was a great blend of adventure, a tinge of history, and a whole lot of fun. It was both thrilling and hilarious, a great combination of high-quality entertainment if you ask me!

Personally, I liked the sequel, "The Mummy Returns" a lot better. It's more family-friendly, whereas the first one was a lot eerier and more provocative. I think maybe because the main couple in this one now has a son, they had to rearrange the themes and stuff so that it will look more appropriate for younger audiences. The differences are stark, but overall, both movies are still so fun and fresh!

One thing that the sequel made me do is to go back to Hollywood. When it was about to premiere, I moved to San Francisco to start a new life. However, I simply couldn't resist going back to Tinsel Town for one final blast of hounding for autographs. And what better than at the red carpet premiere of "The Mummy Returns?"

The two leads, Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weisz have become two of my favorite celebrities at the time. I loved them in the first movie, and knowing that they'd be a happy family in the sequel, I just had to see it! And I thought that it would have been cool if the last time I went to a red carpet premiere, I'd get their autographs. Sort of like a goodbye present from two of my favorite actors in the business.

With my luck, I did eventually get them to sign my posters. I remember so vividly—Weisz looked so radiant on the red carpet that I practically stared at her the entire time. She must have known how glued my eyes were to her, especially when she was signing my posters. Frasier, on the other hand, looked every bit the movie star that he is. That era was, in my opinion, the pinnacle of his career. And I could see how he soaked up all of the attention we all gave him, he was loving every moment.

I got the rest of the cast to sign my posters too, but honestly, it's the Weisz and Fraiser's that only really matter to me. Every now and then, I'd pass by my framed poster with their autographs on it and just smile.

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
