When I Made The Beatles Giggle

You know when you buy a ticket to a concert, wait excitedly for it, and when the night finally comes, it's actually better than you expected? Well, that wonderful instance happened to me recently. I went to Paul McCartney's concert thinking it was just going to be him. Imagine my complete and utter surprise when Ringo Starr came out on stage too!

It was a night I'll never forget. I mean, it was the freakin' Beatles for crying out loud! Sure, they weren't complete, but the mere fact that I was watching a concert with one-half of the greatest band to ever walk this earth shattered me. I screamed and shouted and clapped so hard that night that I got sick the next morning. But it was all worth it. Just to have seen one legend perform live was a gift, but to have two of them at the same time was something else.

But you know what? As with The Beatles, it gets better. In the schedule of what was supposed to be his solo concert, Paul McCartney often held meet-and-greets after the show. That night, however, Ringo was kind enough to tag along and meet Beatles fans as well. With all the pandemonium that ensued, it was my first taste of the actual Beatlemania that my parents went through in their youth. For me to have experienced it as well was quite gratifying.

Waiting in line, I couldn't wait to get them to sign my posters of their "movie," "A Hard Day's Night." The "movie" was the first time I ever witnessed the band's ultimate greatness. And I knew that not a lot of people would have brought posters of this film so I liked that I had that unique edge too.

And boy did it make an impression! Upon putting the posters on the table, McCartney looked at them and in one-second burst out of laughing. "I can't believe you watched that luv!" he quipped. "Do you remember this?" he then asked Ringo. The iconic drummer then looked at the posters and giggled himself. "Oh yes! Of course, I do!" I loved seeing that cheeky banter among legendary friends. They both signed all of my posters and that was that.

I still tell this story at parties and brag about it from time to time. Because why not? I made two music icons laugh. Two of the remaining members of the best band in music history giggled because of me. These posters are my badges of honor!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
