The Last Time Fleetwood Mac was Complete

One 2015 tour, five members together, and a Rumours poster signed just in time.

By an anonymous Hollywood insider

All of you K-pop fans, listen up! Enjoy your favorite groups now, as they are, while you still can, because you never know what might happen. I'm already hearing my young nieces crying about their favorite groups disbanding, or one or two members leaving, and I get it. I experienced that same sadness and frustration with Fleetwood Mac.

The band went on tour with all five members—Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Christine McVie—in 2015, and I got to see it. It was the last concert I ever went to, and thank God I did! I didn't know at the time that it would be the last time I'd ever get to see all of them as the Fleetwood Mac I knew and loved. Buckingham would later be fired from the group in 2018.

“I didn't know at the time that it would be the last time I'd ever get to see all of them.”

I actually got into Stevie Nicks first, and enjoyed her solo stuff, before I discovered she was part of a band. When I finally got around to listening to their music, I instantly got hooked. My favorite album is Rumours from 1977, and I even got an awesome poster of it for their 2014-2015 tour.

The record is filled with classics, from their number-one hit, “Dreams,” to “Second Hand News.” I also still remember “Don't Stop,” since Bill Clinton used it for his 1992 presidential campaign. As someone who lives in a blue state, the song was everywhere at the time. And I'd always listen to it every time I caught it.

The 2015 concert was the first time I got to see them live, and it was well worth the wait. Stevie Nicks sounded great as usual, and I loved the rest of the band too. I was happy that Nicks, even with her massive popularity, didn't overshadow the others. She was a team player through and through, and every single member got their time to shine.

If you were to ask me what my favorite part of the night was, it'd definitely be the short fan-meet they held afterward. There weren't a lot of us, but the energy was still high. And when they came out and took their seats at the table, we only grew louder. I eventually got my Rumours poster signed by everyone except Christine McVie. She had to go to the bathroom when it was my turn.

Do I regret not getting her autograph? A little bit—and now that she's sadly no longer with us, that near-miss means even more. But with respect to her, getting the other four members to sign my poster was enough. Especially after hearing Buckingham’s departure from the band years later.

I'm so proud of this poster. It's a reminder of that amazing band and the amazing night I had with them. As well as the good ol' times when everyone was still together, singing the same old songs we loved when we were young.

Some things you watch. This one you keep.
