The Best Entourage Any Guy Could Ask For

HBO really had a lot of bangers in the early 2000s. The Sopranos, The Wire, and Sex and the City were all must-see TV, but one that's often left out of the conversation is Entourage. It was a fun show about an up-and-coming actor who moves to LA with his closest friends.

I know it was a hit when it aired, but when people talk about TV from that time today, it's rarely mentioned. Or rather, it simply doesn't have the impact that many of its contemporaries had. It still produced big stars with its main cast, though. Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, and Jeremy Piven rose to prominence because of it.

At the very least, the show was popular enough to get a movie sequel. It came out in 2015, four years after the series ended in 2011, which made Entourage one of the very few HBO shows ever to make the jump to a theatrical feature, alongside Sex and the City.

That alone should tell you just how popular it was. I even went to the movie's world premiere myself since they held it at the Paris Theater in New York City. Part of why I loved the show was that the main characters came from Queens, where I’ve lived all my life. I never wanted to move to Hollywood myself, but I loved seeing people from my hometown try to make it big there.

When I saw the cast in person, they did look like a real Hollywood entourage. Adrian Grenier, in true Vincent Chase fashion, looked the most effortlessly laid-back of the bunch, and Kevin Dillon was hamming it up for the cameras exactly the way Johnny Drama would.

I've had my Entourage poster since the show ended in 2011. I got bummed when I heard they were ending the series, so I bought this memorabilia from a souvenir shop in Manhattan. I never thought I'd get the chance to have the cast sign it, but when opportunity comes knocking, you open the door.

The guys were cool when I asked them to sign the poster. Not only did they all do it, but I also got to take a selfie with all five of them. I know some of them played bastards on the show, but they couldn't have been further from it in real life.

I hope this autographed memorabilia reminds people of this awesome show that barely gets mentioned these days. Does HBO have to reboot or remake it for Gen Z to know about it? I hope not! The show was good enough as it is, and if you want to check it out, it's already up on HBO Max.
