The Baddest Bunny You’ll Ever Meet

A trip to San Juan, thirty-one nights at El Choli, and one signature caught at the exit.

Bad Bunny has been having his moment since he released Debí Tirar Más Fotos, and I'm living for it. He's one of the best pop stars today, not just among male singers or Latin artists, but across the board. You've seen his Super Bowl halftime show, right? The man's a true superstar!

I got to witness his star quality myself when I went to his No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency in San Juan in September 2025. This was before he won big at the Grammy Awards and his now-iconic Super Bowl halftime show, but he was already giving it all that night.

I didn't even mind going all the way to Puerto Rico for the concert. He wasn't playing anywhere on the mainland, so the island was the closest I was going to get. Without missing a beat, my friends and I bought our tickets, booked our hotel, and made it a friends' trip.

Needless to say, we had the time of our lives. We loved Puerto Rico, and I couldn't believe it was our first time visiting the island, considering how close it was to home. From their culture to their cuisine, we loved exploring every inch of that beautiful island. I finally understood why Bad Bunny always incorporates it into his music.

If I were a big superstar like him, I'd show off my home to the rest of the world too. Honestly, more people should get to know Puerto Rico, because a week there will do more for you than any highlight reel ever could.

Anyway, the highlight of our trip was still seeing Bad Bunny live. Phew, what a man! Seeing him live was exhilarating, to say the least. I've never seen a guy with so much charisma and sheer magnetism on a stage.

I finally understood how wild my mom's generation got with Elvis, or how crazy my older cousins went for Ricky Martin in the early 2000s. Some performers just have that effect on a crowd, and there's no explaining it until you're standing in one.

As if it wasn't enough that we got a great spot at the concert, I also got to meet Bad Bunny when he was exiting the venue afterward. I joined a huge group of fans who stayed by the exit, waiting for him and hoping to get my poster signed.

When he did emerge, he looked just as lively. I couldn't believe he still had so much energy after performing for us just a couple of hours ago. The man had given us everything he had on that stage and still came out smiling.

He was actually pretty sweet to fans. He hugged people, took selfies, and gave autographs. I will never forget when he hugged me and signed my poster. He smelled incredible and was so cute when he thanked me for coming. I’m still surprised I managed to keep it together.

I can't wait for anything more from him. You can bet that I'll be front and center for it all, hoping for another close encounter like the one in Puerto Rico.
