It was the bitterest of bittersweet moments. There I was, with my crew on hand, each of us holding a poster or two, waiting for the stars of the film to descend onto the red carpet. The film premiering was "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2".
For nearly a decade or so, I've done this routine every time a new Harry Potter film premiered. I started with "Goblet of Fire" and now, I and the team I've formed have reached the finish line. This was the last movie within the 'Harry Potter universe.' We wouldn't miss it for the world, of course, but we did wish it never came. Alas, all good things must come to an end. And what a way to do it: an action-packed cinematic finale with so many twists and turns, some have argued the movie was better than the book. Include me in that party too!Â
Anyways, that night wasn't for moping around wishing the franchise didn't have to end. It was for getting autographs. Luckily for us, we only aimed it small this time. Instead of the entire cast, we just asked the three leads to sign our posters: Daniel Radcliff, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. With all due respect to the others, they were really the only ones most of us cared for.Â
One by one, they met us. We were all starstruck and a bit emotional seeing them for the last time. Imagine, we grew up with them. They started acting in these movies at such young ages, and now, like us, they were full-fledged adults. Â
Sometimes, their movies even helped me get through tough times. They've been I and my team's companions for so long. We felt as if we were saying goodbye to old friends. but at least they left us with something to remember them by, their autographs!Â
What a treat it has been autograph-hounding the cast of "Harry Potter." We'll still follow them wherever their careers go, but it won't be the same seeing all three of them again on one red carpet!Â

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
