I find it very rare that a movie will have so many fine leading men all at once. For a 20-something-year-old woman like me, that's a lot! But as a bonafide autograph-hound, it keeps me excited! That's how I ultimately felt about "12 Strong," especially when I met the cast in real life!
Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon, Trevante Rhodes, Austin Stowell, and more. These are just some of the incredible actors that were cast in the movie "12 Strong." It's beefcake bonanza as far as I'm concerned, but more than just their looks, their acting chops are all noteworthy! Most especially Michale Shannon who, for me, is an underrated screen icon. It was a good thing the movie held its red carpet premiere in New York City where I live. I would've never had the chance to get their autographs if not for that!
That night, the man of the hour was, of course, Chris Hemsworth. I acknowledge he's great and everything, but unlike the MCU fanboys and shrieking fangirls that surrounded me that night, he wasn't I was most excited to meet. Nevertheless, the guy really is a god! His impossibly good looks, his gigantic frame, and his nice personality gave me major Hollywood leading man vibes. It was meeting him in person and getting his autograph did I realize why guys want to be him and girls want to do him. He still doesn't do it for me, but I acknowledge him!
Now, it was actually Michael Shannon who I was most excited about! This guy is extremely talented and is extremely underrated for it! I can't believe he hasn't won an Oscar yet! His work in "Revolutionary Road" and "Nocturnal Animals" were amazing! And boy! He's so handsome! He's just my type: unconventional yet undeniably sexy. Too bad he's married though! Anyways, he was every bit the gentleman on that red carpet! Such a class act, even to the point of signing all of my movie posters. He was the only one who did that!
The rest of the cast was also kind enough to sign my posters as well. Every time an actor approached me, they seemed so proud of their work on the film. It really made me happy seeing that! Regardless of how well it did on the box office, "12 Strong" was still a movie that these people put their heart and soul into making. It made me even prouder to have gotten their autographs. Not just the famous ones like Hemsworth's and Shannon's, but everybody's!
Here's to hoping, by buying any of these signed posters. that people get to know "12 Strong" for the great movie that it is! It's worth your time, believe me!
