That's my new ethos for music! There's just something about how well the British do music that always gets me. Sure, we have our own legends here. Some of which I still adore, don't get me wrong! But I've always been compelled to love British musicians more. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, heck, even The Spice Girls!
One group that I'm loving these days is The 1975. They're a British pop/rock band that just does it for me these days! At least for me, they haven't done a bad move yet! All their songs are catchy, their musical style is unique, and they remind you of those classic bands of the late 1990s. In many ways, they're the perfect band for the youth today. It's as if they stand as reminders of what old-school good music really. Not all of the booty-shaking pop nonsense other people are doing. True blue music—that's what The 1975 is all about.
I had the privilege of meeting them when they were the booked band at one of my company's sponsored events. As the assistant to the event's manager, I was given free access to the band. And let me tell you, they're great guys too! All of them were polite and nice, not an air of arrogance at all! They were very professional too. They arrived on time every time we needed them. And they got better each time they played.
Being the fan that I was, I knew I needed to get their autographs. So, during a break time right before the event started, I went up to the guys and asked them to sign my posters. I honestly thought they'd be insulted or worse, get me fired. But nope! These guys really were amazing! They signed each one and even took a selfie with me! It was honestly one of the best days of my life!
To anyone who hasn't heard of them or might think they're just common, give The 1975 a chance! I'm telling you, you're missing out on a great group of guys and their amazing music!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
