Paying A Pretty Price for a Great Set of Posters

Many people would say I'm a wise investor. I always buy things that are long-lasting, timeless, and are often extremely useful. Oftentimes, I invest my stock on companies I know will do well. And honestly, I haven't done a bad move yet in that regard. And when it comes to memorabilia, I only go for the best of the best.

As a well-off businessman and a lover of music, I'm part of a private "club," if you will. This "club" consists of other wealthy people who bid and buy some of the best memorabilia around. One of my colleagues in the "club" once bought Elvis's guitar. While another won an intense bidding war for one of Whitney Houston's stage costumes. It's these types of rare musical artifacts that have our hearts pumping. And just recently, I won a bidding war myself. The product/s in question? A set of pristine Radiohead posters, signed by the band themselves.

Now, you may be thinking: why go for signed posters? Just about anyone can buy a poster and probably have it signed during a Radiohead concert. While that may be true, I doubt they can get a whole set signed by the band themselves. And you must remember, I'm a businessman as well as an investor and avid collector of memorabilia. Even though I paid a pretty penny for these posters, I know I'll earn it all again by selling them.

And so my bidding wat started. I put down the first offer, being a huge Radiohead fan myself. By my opponent doubled my price with his first bid. Risky but unwise. In my experience in bidding wars, you should never double the offer on your first bid. It often means you're desperate to have it. He might have been, I don't know. I also didn't care. I then offered a bigger price, only an additional half of what he first put down. He then offered the second half, automatically doubling his first bid. But as I let down my third offer, he surrendered.

Now, I won this beautiful set of Radiohead posters signed by the band. Thanks, in large part, to a rookie mistake. At least, I hope my rival was a rookie. If he's a veteran in the game, he might as well hang up his gloves.

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
