Back when I was growing up, Buffy was the baddest bitch on TV! A babe and a bombshell, she was every girl's goal and every boy's fantasy. To this day, I still watch some of the old episodes online. I also look at my signed poster from time to time, remembering that night when I met her!
It was during some obscure award show that was geared towards tweens and young adults. The cast of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" was invited so I went to be at the audience's side to try and see them in person. My BFF then suggested that we bring some copies of the TV poster in case they'd be game to sign. I initially thought it'd be a bother but she convinced me anyways. Little did I know that it'd be these posters that would lead Sarah Michelle Gellar to come my way!
I remember that night so fondly. Kids were screaming around me, trying to get the cast's attention. They were all good-looking so, of course, the shrieks were deafening! I myself became flustered when I saw Nicholas Brendon in person. He looked so handsome that I understood why girls liked him even though the likes of David Boreanaz and James Masters were the most popular back then. In any case, I managed to get his autograph that night too so whether he was popular or not, I didn't care!
I also got David Boreanaz, Seth Green, Alyson Hannigan, and others' autographs too that night! Unfortunately, the two that I wanted to get from, Michelle Trachtenberg and James Masters, I wasn't able to get. They were simply too busy with other fans. However, as you've probably already expected, I was happiest to have gotten Sarah Micelle Gellar's autograph. She even spoke to me a little bit. She thanked me for watching a show, and when I told her that she was so pretty in person, she smiled back at me and gave me another thanks. It was the most adorable thing I ever saw in my entire life!
Moreover, not only did she sign my poster, but she also signed all of our posters. My and my best friend's as well! We were shocked! Like, I know she was game to sign for some people and all, but the fact that she took time and effort to sign all of our posters really left an impression on us. That was so nice of her, especially since she was so in-demand that night, she was probably so overwhelmed. Not to mention she had to meet most of the fans that were there.
My bestie and I didn't care if we were hated for taking up so much of her time that night. We were simply on cloud 9 after meeting "Buffy" herself! Man, I miss that show and Sarah Michelle Gellar on the small screen! There will never be a better celebrity to me! She was everything!
