Following Ant-Man and The Wasp in Their Promotional Adventures

By Pete Simmons

Hello fellow Marvel fans! Did you miss me? Well, I'm back to share another autograph-hounding tale, this time, with the poster for "Ant-Man and The Wasp!" Yep, I got Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly (my future wife), THE Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer (aka the best Catwoman ever!—sorry Anne Hathaway), and the one and only, Stan Lee. And it's all thanks to my cousin.

Well, to be fair, she and her team mostly did themselves. I'm just the collector to bring the prized memorabilia through this site. You see, thanks to yours truly, she's also been bitten by the autograph-hound. Yes, she considers herself one too, and she's even assembled a team for it. Not that she needs it or anything, she has her own Hollywood connections that a sleazy small-time agent would lust over. But as she told me before, getting celebrities to sign anything has become challenging nowadays. Many prefer selfies... a quick smile and they're done!

Anyways, back to the story. It was the usual promotional merry-go-round for the stars of the movie. Having worked as an assistant in the film, my cousin had to accompany some of the stars during their many, many, MANY (she honestly couldn't stress it enough) interviews. She was there to remind the stars what the movie is about just in case they forgot (cause you know.... they're A-List stars!). My cousin had to wait for the perfect opportunity—basically when they're not so exhausted that they're willing to kill her—to ask them to sign the posters. For a time, that seemed impossible.

Fortunately, then came WIRED... or Buzzfeed... or Vanity Fair... There have been so many she really forgot which one. But, and whichever publication that is deserves my thanks, the interviewer got the cast to let their guard down and the came out of there as if they haven't gone through a zillion of such in the past few days. They were surprisingly in such a good mood that my cousin went in for the kill and got all of them to sign all of the posters. She said it was the best day, and I believe her.

Now, as for Pfeiffer and Fishburne, distinguished thespians who didn't participate in the promotional round-about, my cousin actually got them to sign the posters while filming. She got early copies of the poster from the art department.

And for the great creator himself, believe it or not, my cousin simply went up to him one day in the middle of filming and got him to sign half the copies. The other half was during a press event when Stan Lee appeared, which was a rare occurrence at that point in time.

So, before you purchase any of these authentically signed movie posters, say a little thank you to a 4'11 short-haired woman who braved the odds and got most of the cast of “Ant-Man and The Wasp” to sign the posters!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
