Harrison Ford was in My Home The Entire Time!

I've always felt that autographs and signatures were part of a person's being. That every time one signs something, he/she is leaving part of his/her spirit with it. That's why I often buy autographed memorabilia. In my mind, these stunning collectibles—treasures from historic pasts—still contain the spirits of the great people that signed them.

Now, imagine my complete and utter surprise to find out that, while I was growing up in the 90s, a famous actor's "spirit" was actually in our house. No, this actor isn't dead. In fact, he's very much still kicking today. He's still acting and still getting the fanfare he so rightfully deserves. I'm talking about Harrison Ford. The great icon who played Han Solo, Indiana Jones, and so many other great characters. Just recently, he even reprised his role of Rick Deckard in the new sequel to his 1982 flick, "Blade Runner." And that's where my story actually begins.

I pride myself as a collector of autographed memorabilia but my dad was actually an autographed hound. Having lived near Hollywood for most of his life. he made it his life's hobby to chase celebrities around and get their autographs. He only did it to the actors of him though: Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Robert Redford, and of course, Harrison Ford. Luckily for him, many of them are still alive and kicking too.

But when my folks decided to clean out their home one day, I helped out. Amidst a treasure trove of childhood memories and painful flashbacks to my awkward middle school years, I discovered something amazing. Hidden in an old box was a few copies of the movie poster for "Blade Runner." And they were signed by most of the cast, most especially Mr. Ford.

When I first saw them, I felt a mixture of excitement and a bit of anger. I was excited because it's Harrison Ford's autograph staring at me as I held up one of the posters. But I was also a bit peeved that my dad, knowing I collected autographed memorabilia, didn't give me at least one of them. Ever since I started collecting, we always agreed that I would get any other extra copies or what of his signed memorabilia from his autograph hounding.

I eventually asked him about them. He was stunned to see them again. He told me that he hid those posters away because that was around the same time he was building his family. I was just a few months old when he got them signed. And since he didn't want to spend to much time away from me at the time, he decided to stop hounding for autographs for a little while. He just eventually forgot that the posters existed.

To settle things, he gave me most of the posters while he kept a copy for himself that I helped find him a frame for. I also framed one copy for myself and the rest are now here!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
