I have to admit, at first, I wasn't too keen on Melissa Benoist taking on the role of Supergirl. I just knew her from Glee. I figured that's the genre that she would stay in terms of TV and film roles. But after the first season, she definitely won me over!
As a new fan, I wanted to get her autograph. Had I known that'd I'd fall in love with her as Supergirl when she was still on Glee, of which my little sister was a huge fan of, I would have gotten her autograph then. My sister would drag me to all these meet-and-greet events and concerts with the cast of Glee back then. I'd always act as her driver.
Anyways, that's all in the past. These days, I was hell-bent on getting her autograph on a few copies of the "Supergirl" poster my buddy gave me. And as luck would have it, I had actually crossed paths with the actress. She was a guest at a late-night talk show here in Los Angeles. My friend, knowing how much I fanboy over her, got me tickets to this particular taping. Finally seeing her in real life, I fell even harder!
The personality she showed off there was as if she was Supergirl herself. I've always liked the character myself, so for her to get it right in the series really drew me into her. And when I met her after the interview, at the stage door of the studio, I knew I was in love. She was gorgeous, kind, and so accommodating to her fans. She didn't even get annoyed that I made her sign multiple copies of the same poster. she just nonchalantly wrote on all of them without a hitch.
Right then and there, I wanted to fly high with this Supergirl. But, alas, I'm just an ordinary fanboy. Who, however, got her autograph... multiple times! Not bad, eh?
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
