You know, there are simply some artists you'd do anything for. I've had some friends who went to a different country just to see them perform live. While I've had others donate many of their belongings to just get tickets to their favorite artists' concerts. As for me, I once waited in line for almost a day for Slipknot!Â
Did I regret it? Never! Not then, not now, not ever! I'll always be a huge fan of this band, even when I'm old and grey. Generation Z can have their pop stars and rappers, I'll be content with listening to real rock music from this iconic band. And the best part about them? They're not a couple of a**holes! It's easy to think that rockstars suck in real life. That they're a bunch of a-holes who think they can get away with anything. But this band? They're not like that at all. And that's one of the reasons why I'm devoted to them.Â
I confirmed this when I waited in line for them. They held a meet-and-greet for fans in my area. I woke up extra early for it, hoping I'd be the very first one in line. Little did I know, others actually camped out there! Damn, I should have thought of that!Â
Anyways, it didn't matter much anyway cause they were late. And I don't mean an hour or two late, I mean a day practically passed by with me and my fellow fans still in the line. Yep, that's how devoted we are. But even better, the fact that they eventually showed up and were completely apologetic about it showed how classy this band is!Â
At the very least, I got the autographs of all the members on all of my posters. I was actually nervous that they wouldn't sign everything, but they did. They even said it was the least they could do after having us wait for almost a day. Little did they know, I didn't care and would do the same in a heartbeat!Â
