The Best Vampires Hollywood Has Ever Seen

Calling the Best Actor race a year early from the fan pit at the Sinners premiere in London.

By an anonymous Hollywood insider

Sinners was the best movie of 2025, and it's not even close. I know another film won the Best Picture Oscar, but I don't care. Ryan Coogler made a masterpiece, and I knew it from the moment I saw the film in London during its premiere.

I was staying in the city at the time for work, but since I heard that the movie was holding its European premiere there, I figured I'd go. The film had a stellar cast, and I wanted to get their autographs since I was sure it was going to be a cultural reset. And I was right!

Sinners not only became one of the highest-grossing hits of 2025, but also among the most critically acclaimed. It's definitely my favorite movie of the year, and I was so happy it won all the awards it did. Ryan Coogler really went off here, and it solidified his status as one of Hollywood's newest auteurs.

Do you want to know the moment I realized it was going to be a generational success? It was when I met Michael B. Jordan in person. I saw him at the red carpet premiere and got his autograph on my movie poster. I knew he was going to play a pair of twins in the film, but I didn't think he would give such an awe-inspiring performance.

“I already crowned him the Best Actor Oscar winner right then and there.”

He was simply a nice guy who was happy to be there on that red carpet. He even felt a little reserved, far from the confident Moore twins he played on-screen. The difference between how he was in real life and his performance was such that I already crowned him the Best Actor Oscar winner right then and there. And wouldn't you know it, again, I was right.

It was an absolute pleasure meeting Michael B. Jordan that night, but the rest of the cast was amazing as well. Hailee Steinfeld looked sexy in her sheer dress, looking every bit the seductive vampiress she plays on-screen. Wunmi Mosaku was equally beautiful, beaming in her bright red dress.

The men—Miles Caton, Jack O'Connell, Omar Benson Miller—all looked handsome, too, but my eyes were drawn to Delroy Lindo. That man is an underrated legend, and like his many performances, commanded attention on that red carpet. He just has such a strong presence that you can't help but respect, maybe even feel a little bit intimidated, when he's right in front of you.

With such a cast, I wasn't surprised Sinners became the iconic film it is now. They're not only so talented, but so nice too. I asked them to sign my movie poster, and all of them did. Amidst the shouting photographers and their flashing cameras, they made it a point to interact with fans and give autographs. I would've been too stressed out if I were them.

Maybe this is the real difference between us normal folks and Hollywood celebrities. They can keep their cool even in the noisiest places, and still show off their movie star charisma with ease. It almost seemed like they were superhuman or something. Or maybe vampires.

Some things you watch. This one you keep.
