The recently-concluded 62nd Grammy Awards ceremony was certainly a memorable night. From the beginning to the end, there were a lot of moments that the music biz and fans alike will talk about for many months ahead. Not to mention the big winners of the night. Of course, the sudden death of former NBA superstar and sports icon Kobe Bryant sort of sobered up the proceedings, but there were still some stars who evidently stole the night. Some of them might not have won any awards, but they had their own moments that were just as newsworthy.
For those who weren't able to catch the live telecast of this year's Grammy Awards, here were five stars who stole the night and you'll likely see in the headlines soon!
Billie Eilish

She may have been the "bad guy," but at this year's Grammy night, Billie Eilish was Definitely the number one girl. At only 18-years-old, this bonafide superstar won most of the major awards she was up for. Apart from winning the 'Best New Artist' awards, she also bagged 'Record of the Year,' 'Album of the Year,' and 'Song of the Year'. It was one of those classic Grammy nights where a new superstar raked in all of the most important awards, proving that she's here to stay and one to listen to. And since she has revealed she's already working on her second album, it's highly likely we'll see her up on the Grammy stage again soon.
Ariana Grande

Arguably, Billie Eilish's stiffest competition for 'Album of the Year' and 'Best Pop Vocal Album' awards was Ariana Grande. But even though the latter didn't win anything that night, she still stole a lot of attention. Firstly, she won the red carpet with her frothy Giambattista Valli gown. In terms of the night's red carpet style, hers was the image that instantly went viral. Secondly, the steamy medley of her many hits from her "Thank U, Next" album proved that she belonged on the Grammy stage. Surely, she'll win big next time!
Lizzo
Even though Lizzo didn't win as many Grammies as some might have predicted, that doesn't mean she lost the night entirely. Everyone watching, from the star-studded audience in the Staples Center to the millions more at home, appreciated that she opened up her performance with a tribute to the late great Kobe Bryant. The night was full of tributes to the recently-deceased icon, but for her to give a moment for him in her first Grammy night performance felt special. Ultimately, despite having won just two Grammy awards she still has a great career ahead of her. She was, after all, nominated for a whopping eight—the most out of any act this year. And she's already proven she's just as talented an actress in the movie "Hustlers," so at least there's that option. All in all, Lizzo still has a lot more reasons to stay "Feelin' Good!"

Lil Nas X
Lil Nas X is 2019's biggest discovery. Moreso, his hit single "Old Town Road," has since become the year's biggest song as well. No wonder he won the 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' with Billy Ray Cyrus for it. But perhaps it was his performance during Grammy night that really sealed the deal for his superstardom. Alongside a flurry of other amazing artists such as BTS, Diplo, Mason Ramsey, and others, he proved that he belonged up there with whoever he wanted to collaborate with. Such an open artist is a treasure in this cut-throat industry. And now, he can call himself a certified Grammy Award winner!
Aerosmith

Of course, during Grammy night, we shouldn't forget the icons. This year, the iconic band that stole the night was Aerosmith. The quintessential rock music legends, Aerosmith received the “MusiCares Person of the Year” award, a tributary Grammy for their philanthropy and contribution to music. Only icons get this award, the likes of which have included Gloria Estefan, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder, among many others. So to prove that they, too, deserve the recognition, they performed their classic hits, "Livin' on the Edge" and"Walk This Way." And based on how the crowd got up on their feet, they know they were in the presence of rock music greatness!
With all this greatness out there, it's safe to say that the music industry is in safe hands! Here's to hoping all the winners (and nominees) will continue making good music in the years to come!
