Say what you want about red carpet premieres, it's still the best way to get celebrities' autographs. Whether they want to or not, they mostly have to sign whatever fans give them to sign. If not, they risk being labeled a diva and a snob by the media. Fortunately, when I attended the premiere, the stars were mostly in a good mood so they all signed my posters.Â
And it was a good thing too cause I really thought I would have been drowned out. I've attended my fair share of red carpet premieres, but one of the rowdiest and loudest that I went to was for this movie. On one side, the photographers were downright screaming at the stars, telling them how to pose for their cameras. It was just my unfortunate luck that my place was sort of near them. And let me tell you, some of those paparazzi were downright rude. Like, these celebrities are people too! They're NOT Siri or Alexa that will just do whatever you want!Â
However, my fellow fans weren't all that better neither. I'd argue some were louder than the photographers. One girl literally shouted at a decibel I’ve probably never heard (and hope to never hear again) in my life when she saw Anne Hathaway. Like, I like her too, but calm down!! Other people had their own memorabilia they wanted to be signed too, but some were so big I'm not sure how they got them through security. The one thing I remember most was a three-foot Batman action figure. I remember Christian Bale smiling seeing it as he approached the fan. And while that was charming, it's very annoying for us fellow fans.Â
If you want to be an autograph hound, red carpet premieres are your best bet! But be warned: it's not all glitz and glamour. Those are for the stars. For you, it's screaming photographers and pushy fans. This isn't for the faint of heart!Â
