A Heartwarming Hogwarts Reunion

It's been about 20 years since one movie changed my life. And that movie was "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone." I was just a scrawny teenager back then who was more into JRR Tolkien novels than the Harry Potter craze that was sweeping the world. However, when I watched that film, I immediately switched sides.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and Tom Felton—these kids (I say kids because at the time, they were just little tots and I'm older than they are) were amazing. They weren't obnoxious to watch (sorry Macaulay Culkin, but I'm not a big fan!) and they always had me at the edge of my seat. And it was actually thanks to this movie that I got inspired to get into show business. I'm not an actor or anything like that, I mostly work as part of the crew. I one day wanted to work for a Harry Potter movie but sadly, they were already over by the time I got into Hollywood.

I continued on working on other films, even for the new "Fantastic Beast" movies as well, but I still dreamt of one day working with the original Harry Potter cast. It was even worse during the pandemic because I spent most of my time re-reading my Harry Potter books (which I bought after I watched the first film). I thought all hope was lost because there's no way anyone would still be making movies with what's happening now.

It was when I felt that my dream would no longer turn into a reality that I got a call from my boss. He said they needed some crew members to work on a "special reunion" for a movie that premiered 20 years ago. I said yes right away, without even asking what it was. It was my first project for a while! I thought nothing of it until I heard the movie that this special was all about: "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone." When I tell you that my excitement was through the roof, I'm not joking. I was more than thrilled, I was practically palpitating!

Because of my contract with the studio, I can't share much about what went on during filming. What I can say is that the cast, especially the main trio—Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson—really are extraordinary in person. I felt like I was reuniting with old friends when I met them for the first time. It was so cool!

Their personalities were even cooler. I was basically a nobody—a member of the crew that they don't have to care about—but they were always so gracious and nice. They weren't divas and never showed a hint of arrogance. That made me love them even more! So much so that I took the risk of asking for their autographs. With the help of the art team, I was able to get my hands on the special's official poster. I took a stack of them and during one of our more relaxed days, during break time, I sheepishly approached each of them and asked them for their autographs.

Without even a second thought, they all signed the posters. And not just the main trio too. Every single cast member was gracious, approachable, and so nice. Some were nicer than others but they were all great. And that's coming from me, someone with a lot of experience of working with celebrities. All I can say is that I wish most of the people that I've worked with before were as nice as the Harry Potter cast.

Anyway, now I have a stack of autographed Harry Potter posters and I don't know what to do with most of them. So I'm giving them to Poster Memorabilia so other Potterheads can get them! Hope you guys like them!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
