There are a lot of reasons why I love Green Day. They're music rocks, of course! Billie Joe Armstrong is, like, one of the hottest band frontmen around. And it always seems to be my lucky day with Green Day. I know that sounds corny but, with my recent experience, it's also true!
Firstly, I already feel lucky having discovered them. Back when I was just a pre-teen, my mom gave me money to buy a CD of my choice. I was eyeing one of Christina Aguilera's or Mandy Moore's, however, both of their CD's were beyond my budget. I was left with buying a rock CD instead, and out of all the bands I had to choose from, I chose Green Day. I'm not gonna lie, I chose them because Billie Joe Armstrong looked so stinkin' cute on the cover. I was in love the first time I laid my eyes on him. And, to my luck, I ended up loving the CD and became an instant fan.
The second time Green Day brought me luck was when I met my boyfriend. We met online and he took me out to dinner. The problem was I was actually allergic to the food and we had to cut the date short. It wasn't my luckiest night then, spewing my guts out in my bathroom. Anyways, the next day, he called me up and asked how I was. I told him I was fine and invited him over to my place to hang out more. Starting out awkward due to last night's events, I put on a Green Day and we discovered we were both big fans. Long story short, we've been together ever since!
The third time I got lucky was when I actually won something from their website. They held a raffle promo and I put in my name to try my luck for the third time. Lo and behold, I won! And what I won was also huge! It was a stack of their "21st Century Breakdown" album poster signed by all of them. Including that of my love, Billie Joe Armstrong. Though my boyfriend gets annoyed whenever I fawn over him, now, I just can't believe I got his autograph in my own home. Apart from all the stuff my boyfriend has given me, his autograph on my poster is one of my prized possession.
