Ahh, movie premieres. Damn! I miss 'em! After spending two whole years in my house because of the Covid-19 pandemic, I'm so glad things have lightened up. And here in New York, the city is as lively as ever. They've even begun holding red carpet premieres for new movies. The first one I attended after the pandemic? "The Adam Project."
It was a night out for the ages. I and a couple of my friends dressed up, ate out, and had a ball. And it was a good thing that the movie had a stellar cast because we got a lot of awesome autographs! I mean, Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, and Zoe Saldana!? If that's not an all-star cast, then what it! I've been huge fans of these guys for a long time now so to get their autographs right after the pandemic was a bit mindblowing. Actually, not a bit. A lot!
We all got our copies of the movie poster and asked each actor to sign them. Each of us held multiple copies and we figured they'd likely only sign one each and be over and done with. But no! Everyone, from Reynolds to Saldana, signed every single one of our posters. It was amazing!
I think it helped that Ryan Reynolds was the first one to sign out posters. I've always thought of him as a stand-up guy but meeting him that night—with his gorgeous wife, Blake Lively, no less!—really proved it. He wasn't just nice and approachable, he was funny as hell too! He joked with fans, trolled photographers and media people, and had many of us laughing out loud. He also didn't hesitate to sign anything the fans offered to him. It was like he trained to give out as many autographs as he can for that night.
Of course, like other A-list celebs, his co-stars didn't want to be undone. As if they took their cues from Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Zoey Saldana, and the rest of the cast also signed all of our posters. It even came to a point that we felt embarrassed about it since we literally had them spend a good chunk of time in front of us. I'm sure many other fans gave us the side-eye but we didn't care! We were getting autographs from some of the most famous people on the planet! Just a year ago, I never would've thought this could ever happen!
And the cherry on top of the night was how awesome "The Adam Project" ended up being! It was hilarious and undoubtedly one of the best movies I've seen in a long time! If y'all watch it yourself, you'll like it so much you'll want to buy one of our autographed posters. Lol!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
