The Best People To Grow Up With

I haven't been watching TV much these days but I'll always remember how great the shows were when I was growing up. From the Saturday morning cartoons to the mid-week dramas, I had a lot to look forward to the moment I picked up the remote. And out of all of them, my favorite was "Dawson's Creek."

It was the quintessential teen angst drama of the late 90s and early 2000s. Ripe for parody, its heart-stopping storylines, and often cheesy romances were ripe for parodies. Not to mention, of course, its iconic theme song! But despite all the drama, many of the stories in the show were relatable. I related to each of their struggles, achievements, forlorn loves, and more! Perhaps this is why the show has always resonated with me. To the point that I became the cast's number one fan!

If you're going to ask just how much of a fan I was, I actually got their autographs one time! Yep, I met them face to face and got them to sign a couple of posters I got from a fansite! The handsome golden boy James Van Der Beek, America's sweetheart Katie Holmes, the ever-gorgeous Michelle Williams, and the adorkable Joshua Jackson. What was so surprising was that they all looked the same as in the last episode! It was insane! It's like Hollywood has some age-defying elixir that they drink or something!

Anyway, I met the cast at a special reunion that they did with a famous media company. It was the 20th anniversary of the show and for the first time in a long while, all of the lead cast were in one place. They even had a photoshoot and everything! I was lucky enough to be there as both a fan and a hired help for one of the main staff behind the photoshoot. And since my friend—the one who hired me—had an important role there, I was given permission to ask for their autographs when everything was done. I did work my butt off before I approached them so I did deserve it!

Nevertheless, I couldn't help but get so starstruck looking at them. Both Holmes and Williams had pixie cuts yet they still looked so feminine and as cute as they did during the show. Meanwhile, to no one's surprise. Van der Beek looked every bit the dream man, all grown up and the type that society will want you to hate but you can't help but fall in love with. Jackson, on the other hand, became even more handsome with age and had a subtle sexiness to him. Everyone looked glorious! So much so that if they had a reboot, a sort of "years later" type of situation, I'd watch it in a heartbeat!

I did my heart well seeing these people who I essentially "grew up with" look so successful and happy after all these years! And thank goodness they didn’t "wait for our lives to be over!" (okay, I know that was corny but still! lol!)

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
