Getting Three Gods' Autographs

Who knew I'd ever get to meet three Jesus Christs? Only in the movies is that even possible! Though despite its title, the well-received psychological drama, "Three Christs," isn't necessarily about three versions of the Christian deity. Rather, it's about three mental health patients who all think they're Jesus Christ. Quite a plot for a movie, right?

I was lucky enough to have met some of these "Christs" in the red carpet world premiere of the movie back in January 2020. It was a few weeks before the pandemic officially started in the US so back then, we weren't wearing masks, and hugging and shaking hands were still normal. I came to the event as a plus-one for my friend who helped work on the film. And since I'm an obsessed fan of many of the cast members, I couldn't help but bring some of my copies of the movie poster—which my friend helped me procure—and get their autographs on them.

Being the big "GOT" fan myself, my main target was Peter Dinklage. Just the thought of seeing Tyrion Lannister himself had me wet with anticipation (sorry for the visual!)! As I expected, he was swarmed by paparazzi and media interviewers. For a second there, I thought he'd go right past me and I would have never interacted with him. Luckily, Dinklage recognized my friend and came over to us. I was bewildered! Seeing him in normal clothes was already too much, but actually talking to him!? I barely got a word out before my friend asked him to sign my posters for me. That's what friends are for!

Richard Gere was also incredible in person. Now I know why my mom was so gaga over him back in the 90s. He looks pretty old now but a hot oldie, know what I mean? I can understand how he was a sex symbol back in the day. He was also very gentlemanly, interacting with fans in such a sweet and polite way. I almost felt like I was watching an Old Hollywood celebrity from the 1950s right before my eyes. And again, with the help of my friend, I got the star to sign my posters.

It was actually Julianna Margulies—who I love from "The Good Wife"—who I was finally able to talk to in person. She really does look intimidating with her arched eyebrows and chiseled features. However, she was actually the sweetest of them all. She was aware of how nervous I was and led our conversation. She even showed such a sweet smile, one I will never forget. I didn't even need to ask for her autograph, she volunteered to give it herself! She's the only one who has ever done that to me in all my years of hounding for autographs!

Unfortunately, not all of the cast members attended the event. I had to ask my friend to get the others' when they saw each other again. A couple of weeks later, right as the pandemic blew NEw York city over, my buddy sent back all of the posters with the remaining cast members' autographs! He really is the best!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
