Nothing Quiet About Meeting Hollywood Celebs

Thanks to having stayed at home for most of 2020 due to the pandemic, my life has been so quiet lately. It's all been Netflix, gaming, online shopping, and going on Zoom for work. All this silence reminds me of when the last time I went to a red carpet event back in March of 2020 at the premiere of "A Quiet Place: Part II."

I personally loved the first movie so I was excited to attend the premiere for the sequel. At the same time, I'm a huge fan of the Hollywood couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski and wanted their autographs. Luckily, that was the best time to do so. It was right before the pandemic, literally a couple of weeks before New York City became the epicenter for the disease. That red carpet premiere in the Lincoln Center was probably one of the last public events held in Manhattan at the time.

Ironically enough, the movie was all about "staying quiet" but that night was anything but! Fans (including myself) were screaming, paparazzi were shouting, and the buzz was crazy. I also went crazy when I finally saw Emily Blunt! I've loved her since "Devil Wears Prada" 14 years ago. She looked beautiful then and she looks just as stunning now! Damn! John Krasinski is really lucky to be her husband! She's so nice too! When I asked for her autograph, she had no qualms about it at all. It was lovely hearing her faint—she's clearly been in America for far too long—English accent gave me goosebumps! So pretty!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get John Krasinski's autograph. While his wife was signing my poster, he was at another corner getting interviewed. And when he finally came my way, he just met up with his wife and went on their merry way. I was kinda bummed about it but I didn't let it ruin my night. At least I got half of the Hollywood power couple's autographs! Moreover, I still got the rest of the cast to sign my posters too. Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou, who I think are two of the most underrated movie icons of our time, were incredibly nice and equally handsome in real life.

Wow! Looking back at that night, it seems like it was ages ago! Hard to believe it was just a year ago! Makes you really think hard about what the world has come to, doesn't it? I'm hoping things get back to normal and I get to meet more celebrities in the future!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
