Finally Getting Borat's Autograph

I have to say, out of all the characters we've been introduced to in the 21st century, none had had a bigger impact on me than Borat. It's just so amazing how Sacha Baron Cohen was able to come up with this controversial character and make him both the most beloved and the most hated person in the world. And because of that, I'm such a huge fan of his!

When I heard that "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" was finally getting a sequel, I thought that this was a chance to get his autograph. But then the pandemic happened so all my plans to meeting the cinematic genius went down the drain. Damn! I really wanted to meet Sacha Baron Cohen himself! To bask in the glory of that twisted yet intelligent mind! Back in 2006, when the movie first came out, I got so enamored by the guy that I bought a poster of the movie and hung it up on my wall. Now, I found myself doing it again!

This time, however, I was determined to get his autograph on. And just to make sure that he did, I even acquired multiple copies of the poster for "Borat Subsequent." If only Covid didn't ruin my plans on meeting the guy! I'm sure I could have gone to the world premiere of this hotly-anticipated (for me, anyway!) sequel and shook hands with the guy himself! Of course, that never happened. The film was simply released on streaming platforms and that was the end of that.

I didn't give up though! I took the risk of contacting Sacha Baron Cohen through social media to ask him if I could send him my posters so I can get his autograph. I'm sure he's had similar requests in the past. He probably found them weird and brushed them off. But you bet your ass I didn't give a flying fudge if it made me look psychotic. I was determined to get his autograph and used every tool I had at my disposal. Some would say I might have gone a bit overboard. But did I care? Absolutely not!

And so, after a few weeks of messaging him through Insta, Twitter, and by email, he finally caved! At least, that's what I think happened. He (or perhaps his agent or assistant or something) finally responded to my messages and said that I could send them over. They asked that I had to follow Covid-19 protocols when sending out mail and I followed each and every step. I was a bit worried because, at the time, the US Post Office was going through a lot (f*ck you Trump!) so I wasn't sure if he was gonna get it.

I then found out, via email, that Sacha Baron Cohen's camp did receive it and that he was going to sign them. A couple of weeks later, I finally got them back and almost shat myself! He frickin' signed all of them! I was expecting he'd think one autograph was enough but no! He signed each and every one of my copies! Damn, I knew he was a great guy! I was so happy, I streamed the movie again with tears in my eyes (no joke, that's how much of a fan I am!).

Even though Covid ruined my plans of meeting the great Sacha Baron Cohen, Borat himself, I was still able to get his autograph. Perhaps I might not have even gotten it if it weren't for this pandemic! Who knows? All I know is I finally got what I wanted!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
