The Glamorous Legacy of Gucci

I honestly couldn't have imagined a better cast than Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Al Pacino, Jared Leto, and more to live out the legacy of Gucci. I've always been so fascinated with the murky and tumultuous story behind the Italian fashion house, especially as a loyal customer of the brand myself. So when the movie "House of Gucci" premiered, I had to have a front-row seat.

I can't divulge who I am but I will say that I'm somewhat a member of the elite. And while I have enough money to spend on all sorts of things, I've had a hobby of collecting autographed movie memorabilia myself, many of which cost a lot. If I can, I'll even go so far as to ask Hollywood celebrities for their autographs myself. That sort of behavior is pretty below me, considering my social class, but I don't care. That's part of the thrill of it all. And it was expectedly exciting when I did it at the LA premiere of "House of Gucci."

Having been to my fair share of red carpet events, I was used to the pomp and circumstance that comes with these sorts of things. I even had backstage access too, thanks in large part to many many Hollywood connections. So as I waited at the back, seeing the beautiful cast post on the red carpet, I prepared a stack of the movie posters that I wanted to be signed. Thank God I wasn't in the cheap seats. I could see how rowdy and tightly packed they all were as if they were a can of sardines. And the photographers? Loud and rude as ever.

When the "House of Gucci" cast finally reached my location, I couldn't help but gush over their movie. At the time, I hadn't seen it yet but I already knew it was going to be a hit. And after every greeting, I asked them to sign my posters. I'm sure it was because of who I am that they didn't even hesitate to give their autographs, but I'm also sure that they probably would've been more generous to ordinary fans too. I mean, I've met Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, and the like multiple times and real tea? They're truly nice people. Even Al Pacino, who deserves to have a giant ego, doesn't have one too.

It was just a shame that the lovely Jeremy Irons wasn't there. I heard he'd be present in the red carpet premiere events in other cities around the world, but it was just my luck that he wasn't around in this one. But it didn't matter. I asked my friends who also worked on the movie to get him to sign my posters. And a few weeks later, after the London premiere of the film, lo and behold, I got them all back with his autograph.

My mom, who was still living around the same time the events of the movie took place and actually bumped into Patrizia Reggiani herself at a social event in Italy, passed down her Gucci dresses to me when she passed away a few years ago. It was an honor wearing one of them to this movie premiere and getting the cast's autographs.

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
