Getting Down with Sonic the Hedgehog on The Blue Carpet

If you were to ask me what my best memory during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 would be, would you have guessed it'd be meeting Sonic the Hedgehog? Never in a million years, right? And no, I'm not talking digitally either! I didn't meet him in a game, in a YouTube show, nor even on Zoom! I met him on the blue carpet!

I'm not making much sense, am I? To keep you up to speed, I live in LA and I attended the "Sonic the Hedgehog" 2020 movie premiere last February 2020. Technically, it was right before the pandemic so events like that one were still ongoing. However, countries around the world were already panicking about Covid-19 at the time so I often considered the entire month of 2020 as the period of the pandemic (although technically, even today the pandemic still looms largely!). I'm a self-professed autograph hound so even though I'm a grown-up man, I was there to meet the stars!

That night, I saw Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter, and more! The two J's, Jim and James, were Hollywood legends in my book! They were Ace Ventura and Cyclops, for crying out loud! Both two of my most favorite movie/comic book characters of all time! I nearly shit my pants just seeing Jim Carrey up close! I felt so honored just to be in his presence (not exaggerating!). As for Marsden? Well, he's still and will always be cyclops to me! Super nice and super friendly! No wonder he fit the role so well! I didn't even need to ask him for his autograph, he went on and signed them himself!

The other cast members were also nice but I wasn't too familiar with their work. Not to be rude or anything, it's just, after those two Hollywood heavyweights, I was almost ready to pack up and go! But since, as a legit autograph hound, I was there to get as many autographs from the movie's cast as possible. The beautiful Tika Sumpter signed my posters before Jim Carrey and James Marsden and if it wasn't for her kindness then, I doubt the two actors would have even noticed me. Ben Schwartz, on the other hand, like Marsden, just signed my posters without my having to ask him. What a great guy!

A few other members of the cast signed my posters too which was really great! I'm so grateful I was able to have that kind of memory before all the craziness officially started. Little did I know, that "blue carpet" event would be the last time I went out before having to stay home for an entire year!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
