"The Matrix" really is one hell of a movie! In fact, it's no ordinary film! It's an experience. No matter how many times you watch it, you're just left feeling dazed, a little bit confused, but sort of invigorated in a way. There's no other movie quite like it, seriously!
I actually watched it recently myself. It was a few years back but I still remember that experience vividly. It was during a special anniversary celebration for the cult classic. Some of the cast were there—Laurence Fishburne, Carrie Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, and of course, Keanu Reeves! Now, meeting Reeves was also another experience in itself but let me start with the movie. They screened it again at this Hollywood theater for the anniversary event. And seeing it again a good many years after I first watched in theaters, I was flabbergasted. The movie was familiar, sure, but for some reason, the feeling of seeing it all again was unique.
It might be the magic of the film. That watching it every time makes you feel like you're entering 'The Matrix' every time as well. It immerses you into its own world in a way that no other movie can. I honestly can't pinpoint what exactly what it was, more so because I remembered every scene, yet I watched it in a completely new way.
So there's that, but there's also Keanu Reeves. The guy's amazing and in person, he's almost divine. I get why people on the internet call him the modern-day Jesus. There is something God-like about him. I met him during the vent's meet-and-greet and he was spectacular. He was generous with his time, he smiled often, and simply looked happy. The internet often makes it seem that he's this sad person with all that he went through, but it was so uplifting meeting the guy himself and seeing a pleasant gentleman.
The greatest thing about him was, again, his generosity. I went up to him first before getting to the other stars of the movie. I asked him to sign my copies of the movie poster that I just bought at the many merch stores outside of the theater. Expecting he'd only sign one or just a couple of posters, he signed all my copies. And not only that, but he also got the other actors to sign all of my copies as well. By the end of the night, I was drowning in autographs!
For those of you who want to watch "The Matrix" again, prepare yourselves! It's going to be quite the experience you'll never forget. i'm barely recovering from this last one! Good luck and enjoy watching!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
