 An Invigorating Venom Indeed

The "Venom" movie franchise doesn't get as much hype as it deserves. I've had the privilege of not just watching the films in the theater, but actually getting to visit the set as well. And what I can tell you is that they really are as amazingly badass behind the scenes too!

Thanks to a couple of friends in high places, I was able to visit the set of "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" multiple times. I even met the cast: Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, and more. Man, were they amazing! The final result with all the special effects is cool and all, but seeing them act it out in person is something else. They don't even look silly, they look dedicated, determined, and as I said earlier, completely badass!

Day after day, I witness how awesome these actors are and their dedication to their craft. Even when they're hanging many kilometers high up in the air, they don't break character. There were times in which I no longer separated them for their roles. I really thought Tom Hardy was Venom most of the time and it didn't help that the actor seems intimidating in real life. But you know what? When during their break times, when they're finally themselves again, they're nice and approachable people. I hardly so any ego or attitude, just pure professionalism.

And it's this that pushed me to ask for their autographs. I got friendly with their marketing team and scored a few copies of the movie poster. I used those to get their autographs. Day after day, I'd approach some of the cast members and ask them to sign my posters. Most of them complied and there eve a few who didn't hesitate to do it right then and there.

This wasn't my first time on a movie set and more often than not, the actors are too tired to deal with fans and, in my case autograph hounds. I certainly got my fair share of stares and glared when I initially asked for their autographs. But for a few of the cast members of "Venom:  Let There Be Carnage," they were surprisingly accommodating to people like me. Some were visibly annoyed, sure, but they were never rude nor had an attitude. They simply signed my posters, possibly to be over and done with it.

In the end, I scored many autographed posters and got to see these amazing celebrities in person. I'll never forget that time! And I'm so glad the movie was a success because, having seen all the action first hand, I can attest that they deserve it!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
