Go Near The Stars, Get Burned!

I'll never forget the day I went to TVland! I have a friend who works at a Hollywood studio and I got the chance to tour a set of one of the best shows of the late 2000s, "Burn Notice." It was everything I imagined a TV set would be—busy, hectic, yet still so glamorous!

Though I wasn't that big of a fan of "Burn Notice" myself, I couldn't pass up the chance my friend gave me. We were supposed to just meet up for dinner later that night but he was worried filming would take a while so he asked me to hang out with him in the meantime instead. It was then when he toured me all over the series' set, which was in Miami, Florida, and I got to meet most of the cast. And since my friend knew I was an autograph hound, he prepared me some posters that I can get signed.

Truth be told, although I was happy he thought of me, I wasn't in the mood to go hounding for autographs that day. "Why didn't you just get them signed for me?" I asked him jokingly. "What!? What kind of autograph hound are you!?" he replied. After much coaxing, he convinced me to try to talk to the show's stars and get their autographs.

The first one I met was Gabrielle Anwar who looked stunning! I mean, I wasn't sure if she was a supermodel or an actress. I kid you not, I probably stared at her a lot while she was in my line of sight. And when my friend was introducing her to me, I couldn't help but feel so tense. Fortunately, she's such a delight. She may look like a diva but she's anything but! She's super nice and friendly and was quite generous with her autographs too!

As was, to my complete surprise, Jeffrey Donovan, the show's lead star! I've seen him in a couple of movies and shows before and I've always thought that he looked too badass to approach. I don't know, there's just something about him that intimidated me. Like he'd beat you up if you so much as look him in the eye. Thank goodness that wasn't the case! Though he is a bit more aloof than the other cast members, he was still personable and charming. My friend even looked like he was close to him, which was why it became easy for me to ask him to sign my posters.

That day, only a handful of the cast members and extras were present so I wasn't able to get a lot of autographs. Because of that—also as an apology for eventually canceling our dinner date—my friend told me he'd get the rest of the cast's autographs for me. After a few weeks where I almost even forgot about his promise, he came to me with a stack of posters signed by the cast of "Burn Notice." It was amazing. I'd never gotten that many autographs before. Well, technically I didn't get them but still, they were now part of my autographed memorabilia collection!

Looking back at that day, it really made me realize just how underrated "Burn Notice" was! Especially considering the fact that the cast were fine people! The hottest stars around!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
