One can only be so lucky in life. Though there will always be moments that luck decides one's fate, I've always felt like my life only had a few of 'em, not that many. But when I do get lucky, I'm happy it's with those times that I really needed them.
One time where I was lucky was when I won a contest. But it was no ordinary contest, it was for AC/DC fans. I've been a huge fan of the band since my youth. No other band has struck me quite like this one. And since then, no other band has come close to them. They just have this way of rocking out that I find cathartic and inspiring. When I listen to them, I always feel like I'm being lifted. That I can be who I want to be. Or that I can live my life the way I want without ever caring.
So what was the contest, you may ask? It was at a record shop near my place. All I had to do was complete answer a trivia quiz that was all about AC/DC. Where did they originate How many chart-topping singles have they had? Where and when did they have their most-attended concert? All of this info that only a true AC/DC fan such as myself would know. Of course, I knew most of the answers and jotted them down. But in my gut, I still had reservations as to how well I did.
A few days after submitting my answers. it turns out, I knew them all! I won the contest! And some of you may argue that I won it because I'm a huge fan—and I know this is true as well—but I still feel luck had a lot to do with it. It may be that I wasn't the only one who got everything right. It's possible that, out of all the people who got a perfect score, they still chose me randomly to win the prize. But whatever it is, I'm still entirely grateful!
I won a couple of signed posters from the band themselves. It's the best prize a fan like me could ever ask for! But seeing as I won them partly out of luck, I'm sharing the rest with all of my fellow fans through this site. I'm hoping you'll enjoy them as much I do!
