Oh, how I missed going to red carpet events! As an autograph hound, these are my bread and butter. And every time I meet a celebrity, I feel such an exhilarating rush, I can't describe it in words! I felt that when I went to the red carpet, or rather, blue carpet premiere of "Sonic The Hedgehog 2."
If you didn't know, the cast of "Sonic The Hedgehog 2" includes Idris Elba, Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Shemar Moore, Tika Sumpter, and more! Talk about all stars, am I right? I've always thought that Disney films were the only ones that had the pull and power to cast such amazing stars. But apparently, Sonic The Hedgehog has just as much prestige. I mean, seeing all these A-listers on the blue carpet made me forget that this was an animated movie!
Of course, I just had to get their autographs. That was the point of my going there, after all. And when I approached each one and they signed my movie posters, I was reminded of why I love what I do. I remembered that I'm lucky enough to even have this chance, to begin with. I realized that not all autograph hounds won't ever get this opportunity. And felt lucky to have met these amazing celebrities. Whew! I'm surprised I didn't have a panic attack right then and there.
As far as I remember, Jim Carrey was the star of the show. He's probably the biggest name in the cast so it was surprising that the press focused on him a lot. Idris Elba and James Marsden were just as sought after. These guys are hella handsome! I mean, man! Hollywood men just have something about them, you know? Well, you would if you've met as many as I have. Meanwhile, the women, Tika Sumpter and Colleen O'Shaughnessey looked gorgeus. It's a shame only Tika Sumpter appeared onscreen in this movie. Though Colleen O'Shaughnessey was still great, she would've sparkled on the big screen too!
Unfortunately, not all of the cast members attended the premiere. I didn't see Ben Schwartz and Shemar Moore on the blue carpet and while they're not the biggest names on the cast, I still wanted their autographs. Especially Schwartz because he voices Sonic himself. And so, with my friend's help, who's also a fellow autograph hound, I asked him to get their autographs for me. The guy is pretty well-connected with Hollywood so "tasks" like these are a piece of cake to him. After a few weeks, he sent back my movie posters with both autographs.
With such a cast, I'm sure many of you would still want to get your hands on any of these posters, even if you're not a "Sonic The Hedgehog" fan. I mean, the people who signed these are A-list celebs! How can you not want a piece of these?
