A true mark of a great band is when their music lives on, even after disbanding. Even when their disbanding was a dramatic blowout that resulted in an intense sibling rivalry, if fans still love their music, they did something great. Now, you probably know which band I'm talking about: Oasis.
During the 90s, Oasis was THE rock band to listen to. They were rebellious, aggressive, yet emotional and connected well with fans. Their music was the kind us in your youth would play loudly in our rooms to spit our folks or the neighbors. And when we'd have parties, it's to be expected that Oasis will be part of the playlist. That said, I never really grew out of that phase. I'm still a huge Oasis fan, and although they're no longer making music together, I still listen to them as if they're still the hottest band around.
In fact, I like them so much I'm still part of a huge fan club consisting of both old and new fans of the band. Though fights often start with which Gallagher some like better (I'm more partial to Liam, if I'm honest. Sorry Noel fans!), there's still unity between us. The best part is always the contests the head honchos of the club hold to keep the passion alive. They'd give away prizes consisting of memorabilia only true Oasis fans would want.
With my sheer luck, I won what was perhaps their best prize yet. It was a collection of posters signed by the band themselves. Crazy right? I can't believe some of them actually worked hard to meet up with each member and got them to sign the posters. Unfortunately for Noel fans, it's Liam's autographs that are on each poster. I doubt they would have signed it both anyways.
So, with half of the club declining to enter the contest, I have to admit it made it a whole lot easier. And honestly, if you're really a true Oasis fan, the contest would have been easy for you too. It was just a pop quiz on well-known Oasis trivia. I knew each one by heart so, of course, I won the stack of posters!
Now, I'm selling them off to my fellow Oasis Fanclub members. There's no sense keeping all of them. I gotta give back my good karma if I want more to come my way soon!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
