Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong'o, Penélope Cruz, and Diane Kruger—talk about an amazing cast! In all my life, Just when I thought "Ocean's 8" had the best female ever, "The 355" knocked it right out! The star power here is amazing, complete with Academy Award-winning actresses left and right!
Personally, the best part was that I knew about it even before they started filming. I can't spill a lot of details but let's just say I know a guy who was directly involved in the movie. He told me about how each actress became part of the project and 411 of the diva showdown during filming. And the best part? He was able to get their autographs from me! That's right! I didn't need to go to the movie premiere because months before the film hit the theaters, I already had a stack of movie posters with their autographs on them.
Thank God he owed me one. If not for that favor, he never would've gotten the balls to go up to each cast member and ask them to sign these posters. Heck, he even got the male stars—Sebastian Stan, Edgar Ramirez, and Jason Flemyng—to give their autographs too! He's really a big deal in the movie-making business so I'm not surprised that they agreed to do it. In fact, I've even asked him to do this sort of thing in many of the other movies he was involved with but he never did. It was just that this time, he had a good reason to.
I do have to admit, however, that I would've loved to have seen them in person. I mean these actresses are no joke! If you ask me, they're at the peak of their careers. Getting their autographs would be a major achievement for any autograph hound. However, "The 355" was released through video-on-demand and online streaming. It never got the red carpet treatment it so deserved. We fans never had the chance to marvel at these stars to begin with.
Oh well, this is where connections come in! Thanks to my friend, I still got their autographs. It's not that honorable for an autograph hound to do—part of the run is the thrill of meeting them—but hey, in these trying times, you gotta do what you gotta do! I will say this though: this is the most badass movie girl gang I've ever seen. The movie is amazing! And I'm not just saying that because I have their autographs!
