Feeling The Power of Shang-Chi!

I've got to say, "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" is the best Marvel I've seen in a long time. The last one was "Endgame" and even that was because it was an epic finale to one of the MCU's biggest arcs. But this movie? It's epic in its own right! I'm glad I was able to go to the premiere.

Mind you, the premiere was in the middle of the pandemic yet fans still went out to see it! I, Of course, I was one of them, but that was mostly because I wanted to hound for autographs. I was able to get a few signed posters of the movie before the premiere. They already had legends Michelle Yeoh and Tony Leung Chiu-wai's autographs on them, so it was up to me to get the rest of the cast. I was especially excited to see Simu Liu because he's been killin' it for the past few years. This was his big break and I can't wait to see how far his career will take him.

That night, amidst the cheering fans and screaming photographers, I was able to get the autographs I needed. As I expected, Simu Liu is such a stand-up guy. I've met many of the other MCU leading men before but he was totally different. He was confident yet humble, starstruck with the whole thing but was also visibly excited over the fanfare. From how he was polite in dealing with fans and generous with giving autographs, I knew that this guy would be going places. I'm so happy for him!

The other cast members I met, Awkwafina and Sir Ben Kinglsey, were also amazing. Awkwafina looked great and I'm glad she's finally getting the recognition she deserves. I was worried that "Crazy Rich Asians" would be a sort of one-hit-wonder for her but it wasn't. It propelled her to be cast in more amazing films and "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" was one of them.

Sir Ben Kingsley, however, surprised me the most. I never would've thought this Academy Award-winning legend would ever go for an MCU film. I'm glad he did, though, and so happy that he was accommodating with fans. With his age and prestige, I thought he'd be snobby about the whole thing. But just like his fellow castmates, he put on a big smile, gave out autographs, and seemed happy throughout the night.

I never got the rest of the cast's autographs but it's fine. I was more than satisfied with the celebrities I met that night. I even got a few movie legends' autographs on here too. Those, to me, are priceless!
