The Unforgettable James Bond

The best part about my job as an entertainment journalist is that I can continue my hobby while I work. My pastime is autograph-hounding, chasing celebrities on red carpet events to get them to sign my movie memorabilia. And when I finally scored a job where I can interview them face-to-face, you can bet that I made most of my situations.

My most recent memory was when I visited the set of "No Time To Die." Fortunately, they filmed the movie back in 2019 so the Covid-19 pandemic didn't affect them at all. And because there were no restrictions back then, I easily traveled all the way to London to see the cast and crew. I met up with all of them—Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, and Jeffrey Wright—but my utmost priority was, of course, Daniel Craig. James Bond himself. There were rumors that this would be his final Bond film and I tried to confirm it myself, but I never got the answer.

Oh well! What I did get, however, was one-on-one time with this movie icon. And yeah, I say icon because he's been playing Bond for a long time now. He's the current generation's James Bond. Many of the franchise's younger audiences probably don't even know about Sean Connery and Roger Moore. But they know Daniel Craig. And it's not just because he's playing Bond but that he's so great at it. There were times during our interview when I forgot that I was talking to an actor. I really felt that I was in the presence of a smooth-talking world-renowned spy.

I can't divulge much about what he shared with me but what I can say is that he's one hell of an actor. I could tell from his answers that he loved his craft, he was grateful for the Bond role, and that he understood the impact of the iconic character. He wasn't arrogant but he had that undeniable confidence that helped Bond draw people, especially women, in. I can't tell you how many times I got goosebumps listening to him!

Before I forget, I also want to commend the rest of the cast for being so nice to me on set. Not only did they welcome me with smiles, but they even signed my posters of "No Time To Die." Don't ask me how I got a stack of them when I got there because I can't tell you either! All I can share was there were no divas on set and that many of the cast members were generous with their autographs. And yes, this includes Daniel Craig. He was even the first guy I asked and he didn't hesitate to sign them when I did. Such a great guy!

I wish I could've gone to the premiere and celebrated the movie's release with them by Covid had other plans for me. and anyway, at least I still have my fond memories of that day. Especially of my time with this unforgettable James Bond!

Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
