It really takes a sorority full of dumb bit**es to make Christmas scary, doesn't it? Either way, it always makes for an entertaining, albeit horrific, holiday movie! Yes, guys, I'm talking about "Black Christmas." And why, you ask, am I talking about it? Because I want to tell the story of how I got the cast's autographs.
I went to the movie premiere with fellow autograph hounds thinking that this new crop of actors might just be the next big thing. Granted, they're still well-known, it's sufficient to say that our expectations did come to fruition. Nevertheless, you never know when a star's big break will happen, and since we took pride in our autograph-hounding, we still pursued to get their autographs. So, I and a couple of fellow movie geeks, acquired some copies of the movie poster intending to have them signed during the red carpet premiere.
Since they were basically nobodies at the time, except for the incredible Imogen Poots, it was quite easy to get them to sign our posters. In fact, they were more than willing to do it. Looking back, I guess that was one of the first times people asked for their autographs. So to really happen right before their eyes, at the premiere of what they probably thought were their big break, got them all doe-eyed and excited to interact with fans. Oh well, at least it benefitted us and we got the autographs we wanted!
I have to say though, Imogen Poots really does look good in person. She wasn't wearing a sexy dress or anything like that but her eyes were so expressive—albeit drenched in eyeliner and eyeshadow!—that you can't help but feel some sort of way when she looks right at you. I know that makes me sound like a creeper but that's honestly how I felt. She has those eyes that can pierce right into your soul, making you feel weak with a simple gaze. Fortunately, I got myself together long enough to ask for her autograph.
My companions got to talk to the other cast members so, in the end, we still got our autographs! Unfortunately, it wasn't a big hit. It got mixed reviews, at least, so it's not all bad! And either way, when one of those cast members goes big, we still have his/her autograph!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
