Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story below:
Taking my kids to see the Harry Potter films was amazing. I always earned brownie points from them whenever I'd take them to the Hollywood premiere. It's there where they get to see their heroes up close; Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione Granger (Emma Watson), and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint).
But during the latter movies' premieres, things started feeling bittersweet. Suddenly, I and my children won't have these special bonding activities anymore. We'll no longer shout to Daniel Radcliffe anymore. Nor laugh at Rubert Grint when he fumbles during a red carpet interview that we overhear. Alas, during the premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1," we knew it was the beginning of the end.
Still, we made a party of it. My younger ones dressed up as their favorite characters while the older kids hoped to get their books signed. But as an autograph-hounding father, I made sure each of them had at least one poster for the celebrities to sign. Sometimes, it'd be two for the little ones cause they had the cute factor.
Anyways, at the premiere of the second-to-the-last "Harry Potter" movie, it was as fun as it could be. So many of the movie's stars came on the red carpet. My children had a ball screaming and meeting them. It was all simply one of the best family moments we had. My oldest even said, "It's so sad we won't get to do this anymore," to which I reminded her that there was still one more movie that will premiere after that!
Trust me, autograph-hounding parents, sometimes, it's great to bring your little ones along during a premiere of a movie they might like. You never know just how helpful they might be when hounding for those autographs!
