I'd like to think of myself as a humble man. I'm always grateful for whatever is given to me and for the blessings that I've worked for, I always try to share them with the people I love. I also don't consider myself the luckiest person alive. Even though I live a relatively comfortable life, I'm far from it.
Still, there was one I decided to try my luck and, as fate would have it, I lucked out big time! Again, I don't usually brag much, and I do think it's my humility that gave me such luck. But if there's one thing I am proud of, it's having been a huge fan of AC/DC. For me, they're one of the greatest musical groups to ever exist. They're up there with the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Queen. And when a local radio station in my town held a concert specifically for AC/DC fans, I entered it headstrong that I can win.
I'm not one to enter a contest willy nilly. But the fact that it was specifically for AC/DC fans, and the prize might be free tickets to a concert or even getting to meet the band itself, I tried to give my luck a try. The contest was simple, in fact, too simple if you asked me! All I had to do was call in and remember the lyrics to their songs. I had to complete at least five songs in order to win the prize. The hosts had a timer ready too so it would be difficult for me and the other entrants to google the lyrics.
As I was listening, some people were already trying their luck. Many only got about one or two songs. Some luckier ones got three. Feeling a bit nervous but confident that I'll win it, I called the radio show and started singing. And to my astonishment, as well as those who were listening as well, I got all five songs correctly! I wasn't kidding when I said I'm a hardcore AC/DC fan. And now, the radio and the town know it too!
What was the grand prize? Some signed posters of AC/DC's album, "Black Ice." And just my luck again, because that album is one of my favorite of theirs! It's a solid top three in my list! Now, to thank the universe for my good fortune, I'm sharing the rest of the posters to all of you fellow AC/DC fans here on this site! Enjoy!
