I am what you might call a super-advanced autograph-hound. It helps that I work in PR, giving me connections to some of Hollywood's finest. So no, I don't have to attend every premiere or red carpet event to get my autographs. I go right to the source. And so I did for my collection of "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood" posters.
Ironically, the easiest one to get was Tarantino's. Though I have to admit, I didn't get to him myself. Since my company worked with the movie's marketing team, I was pretty chummy with some powerful people connected to the film. And to the director himself. All I had to do was tell them I needed multiple copies of the "Once Upon a Time In Hollywood" movie poster with Tarantino's signature in each and everyone, and poof! I had them. They probably think I'll use them for a marketing campaign for the film, and I did, at least for just a few copies.
As for Pitt, DiCaprio, and Robbie, I attended the same Hollywood party as they did. Now, the trick in infiltrating such social gatherings is to arm yourself with a lot of compliments at hand. These fellas may seem humble and fun, but in the end, they're all still actors. Actors with egos, and I had the best food to feed them. And so, after a quick chat or two, some flattery here, some flirting there, I got these three Hollywood heavyweights to sign my posters. It was a piece of cake.
Now, Al Pacino is another story. He's a bit of a recluse these days and I wouldn't blame him. He is one of the greatest living actors in history, after all! But then, I had connections with people in high places working on his next film, Scorsese's "The Irishman". And so, with my wit and charm, I got my friends to get THE Al Pacino to sign my posters. Now that, I'm actually proud of!
