I admit, there was a time I thought Ariana Grande was overrated. I thought she was just another Disney Channel or Nickelodeon star who've grown up and are now trying to make their way into the real world. But when I saw her live, I had to eat my words.
A couple of months ago, I had to chaperone my little cousin to an Ariana Grande concert. I honestly didn't want to. My mom was supposed to accompany them there, but when she had a work thing to do, I was given the dire task of driving and looking after four teenage girls at a concert. If I hadn't just resigned from my job then, I could have escaped it, but oh well. That's life! Truth be told, I do love my cousin, but having to be her chaperone, at an Ariana Grande concert no less, was the true test of my love for her. Well, just kidding.
Anyways, when we got there, I got more annoyed at her than I already was. I was already a bit peeved cause she forced us to go to the stadium a good two hours before the concert was about to start. Her excuse was that she wanted to get good seats, yet her tickets already gave her specific seats within the venue. Her real reason was that she could shop for merch. Yes, that's how big a fan my cousin is of her. It's adorable... to an extent. And she went beyond that extent when she asked me to buy her something.
She asked me to buy a bundle of "Thank U, Next" posters for her and her friends. I asked her why not just buy four solo posters and she told me that the price for the bundle was already lower than four separate posters. She did have a point. Still, I didn't expect to spend almost a hundred dollars for a bundle of Ariana Grande posters, especially since I didn't even like her (at that point). And who's going to have to keep the extra posters from this bundle? You guessed it! Yours truly.
To my surprise, however, I ended up loving that little pop star (sorry, to me, she's still that annoying red-haired girl from Nickelodeon). I finally recognized her talent and why she's so popular with younger people today. Though I don't expect I and my cousin like her for the same reasons, at least, I got reassured that she was idolizing someone actually talented.
After the concert, Grande held a small meet-and-greet. This is where I planned to get my money back! I'd get Ariana Grande to sign all of these extra posters and sell them online. And so, after waiting for about two hours (there were a lot of people in front of us!), we finally got to her. Of course, my cousin and her little friends all squealed at the sight of her. And, of course, I took their picture for them. Anyways, I actually found her nice too. And she did sign my posters as well so she deserved some props for that!
Now, the posters are here for all you Ariana Grande fans' pleasure. Signed by the superstar herself, these are great investments for any true fan of this little pop star!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
