When you finally meet your idol, do yourself a favor and don't act all stupid like me! After seeing the first Rambo film in the 80s, I've always been a fan of Sylvester Stallone. He's just the type of tough guy I want to become. And come one, he's such a badass! No self-respecting guy would not make the man his idol!
So when my sister, who runs an autograph-hounding team, got tickets for the premiere of the latest Rambo movie, I just had to come with. my sister is crazy for all this memorabilia shit, and for once, that craziness was going to benefit me! I remember feeling extra nervous right before we left for the premiere. I even thought I'd cosplay as Rambo to get his attention. Thank God my sister, who's been to a lot of these things, talked me out of it! I just hope she helped me more than I actually meet Rambo himself, in the flesh!
My sister actually called him to go up to our area. When he did, I was speechless. Damn! There was this great hero of mine, right in front of me! Hell, I even teared up a bit. Well, admittedly a lot! So much so that I think I embarrassed my sister and her group. Damn! I looked like an idiot crying like a baby in front of Stallone. He might have felt second-hand embarrassment for me as well. But can you blame me? The guy has been my idol for more than thirty years. Of course, I felt overwhelmed seeing him in the flesh for the first time!
I don't know how, but I still got him to sign my poster. He patted me on the back and told me not to cry anymore and hoped we enjoy the movie. You bet your ass I did! It's Rambo for God's sake. It's another great outing from Stallone! As for my sister, fortunately, she didn't get mad. Since I got his autograph, as well as the rest of the cast's, I "accomplished the mission". She wouldn't let it go though. Until now, she still gives me shit about crying like an idiot in front of Stallone!
For all you guys out there, do yourselves a favor! When you meet your idol, don't lose your shit! Believe me, it will feel as humiliating as it seems!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
