While I agree that they don't make horror movies like they used to, "The Curse of La Llorona," I believe, will be a huge hit! It's got all the makings of a classic horror film: a great cast, a compelling story, and a good share of jumpscares. But out of all of these elements, the cast was the best part of the movie. They acted their asses off in this film, and while they don't necessarily merit Academy Awards, per se, they do deserve more recognition.
I was able to watch the film during its red carpet premiere in Hollywood. Before the screening, I got the actors to sign my and my friends' movie posters. There aren't a lot of big names in the movie, so at the time, I wasn't as enthusiastic as I should have been when I asked for their autographs. But when I watch the film, I knew a struck gold! Most of them gave such convincing performances. When you watch it, you'll really root for a lot of them, while wishing the others would get killed.
Out of all of the actors in the cast, I'm most familiar with Linda Cardellini. Who wouldn't recognize 'Velma' herself? I remember she seemed reserved and humble, yet she was every bit the star on-screen. I swear, if she doesn't get better movie roles after this film, there's something wrong with Hollywood! Raymond Cruz, on the other hand, was another stand-out! Though for some reason, his character annoyed me a bit. Still, he was nice enough to sign our posters. I hope that if ever he does become big someday, that he'll remain as humble and kind as he was with us that night.
For all you horror movie fans out there, "The Curse Of La Llorona" is a must-watch! They even say it has connections to "The Conjuring". Whether it relates to it or doesn't, you should still see this film!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
