Going to the red carpet premiere of "Reminiscence" was an eye-opener for me. I work in corporate but my hobby is hounding for autographs. I finally agreed to let go of this hobby when I relocated to London for a job, right in the middle of the pandemic. I really thought I could leave this part of my life behind.
However, when my fellow autograph-hounding buddies swayed me to go to the London premiere of "Reminiscence," it reignited my passion for chasing after the stars. And what better stars could there be than Hugh Jackman, Thandie Newton, Rebecca Ferguson, and more? Although I initially (and reluctantly so) just attended this premiere for my friends' sake, I didn't think I'd feel the rush of my hobby flow through my entire body. I worked from my dreary London home for most of my stay here. I was a slave to my job because it was the only thing going for me at the time.
But on that night, amidst the flashing cameras and screaming fans, I was reminded why I loved autograph-hounding. There's no replacing seeing these celebrities in person, getting their autographs, and reeling from the accomplishment of having achieved such a goal. Seeing Hugh Jackman and the rest of the Reminiscence cast reminded me of that. And when I saw their autographs on my posters, I couldn't help but tear up.
For the first time since moving to London and the pandemic happened, I finally felt happy again. I goy my hobby, my love for movies, and my will to live back. At that moment, amidst all the chaos that came with these sorts of events, I reminisced all the times I asked for other celebrities' autographs. And it was right then and there that I decided to go back into the game. I was grateful for my buddies back home in the US who pushed me to do it again.
Just like before, we collaborated to get most of the cast's autographs. I got three of the most famous members— Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, and Thandiwe Newton—so I left the others, who didn't attend the London premiere, to my friends. It was only after two months did I receive word that they were able to get Cliff Curtis, and Marina de Tavira to sign our posters too. It still wasn't the entire the cast, but we were more than satisfied nonetheless.
They decided to send me back a few of the signed posters while they kept the rest for themselves and donated to online shops. We ultimately decided on PosterMemorabilia.com for the latter. We hope that by buying these autographed posters, you'll feel the rush of movie business like we do!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
