I'm sorry Mickey and Pluto, Donald and Goofy, or even Timon and Pumbaa! For me, Disney's most adorable buddy pair is none other than that of Russel and Mr. Fredricksen. I mean, they're already cute on their own, but when paired together, they make a startingly heartwarming team. One that I consider the most adorable!
Through the years, I've had the privilege to have met the cast of the movie, "Up," and you know that, at each time, I asked for their autographs. I simply couldn't and wouldn't waste the opportunity. But the two I most remember meeting were, of course, the voices behind Russel and Carl Fredricksen.
I met Ed Asner, or 'Mr. Fredricksen,' when he went to an event as one of the main guests. Gaining fame even before the animated film as 'Lou Grant' in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," he appeared with the rest of the remaining cast. My sister was there, who also came to get Asner's autograph on her poster of the series. I, on the other hand, had "Up" posters with me because that's just who I am. Needless to say, both of us went home from that event happy.
Now, my encounter with Jordan Nagai, or Russel, on the other hand, was by chance... sort of! I found out that my nephew is friends with the guy and that they went to the same university. Not wasting the opportunity, I asked my nephew to ask Nagai and he happily obliged. I eventually met him one time when he went to our place during my nephew's birthday celebration.
It does the heart good seeing a film like "Up." Try to see it again for yourself one time. You might find that it was just what you needed.
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
