I'm sorry but whoever will portray Wolverine in any future "X-Men" franchise movie out there has huge shoes to fill. I just can't see anyone else playing my favorite steel-clawed badass other than Hugh Jackman. The guy's a legend, in every sense of the word! And I'm so glad I still got to meet him as "Logan."
Well, I didn't meet him on set as 'Logan,' per se, but I did meet him at the red carpet movie premiere. It was his last film as the iconic superhero so I moved heaven and earth to go to the New York premiere with a couple of friends. and I brought along a few posters he can sign as memorabilia of what was, in my opinion, a huge moment in movie history. I mean, a guy who played the same character—and played it extremely well, I may add!—was finally letting it go for over a decade! There's nothing more historic than that!
Fortunately, Jackman was as nice and personable in real life as he seemed in talk shows, interviews, and the like. He went up close to fans, hugged them, kissed them, allowed them to kiss him back, took selfies with them, and more! And when I asked for his autograph, he didn't even give it a second thought! He just reached out for my pen and simply signed all of my posters, the ones I was holding and the ones my friends had too! It was such a surreal moment seeing this iconic superstar signing our posters right before our eyes. It was almost like an out-of-body experience!
Even more so when we met the legendary Sir Patrick Stewart too. Now, this guy is an absolute icon as well. My nerdier friends were breathing heavily as they asked their 'Captain Jean-Luc Picard' for his autograph. I, on the other hand, only saw him as "Professor X' and was pretty palpated at that point too. Thank God Hugh Jackman told him to go for it and before we knew it, we were handing our posters to him as he was a teacher checking our homework. That was also an incredible moment for us that night!
We eventually got the rest of the movie's cast to sign out posters too but, come on, those of Wolverine's and Professor X's were what really mattered most! No shade to the other actors, it is what it is!
Please note: Our inventory is limited as we may have only received a few posters in total. Most of our items are obtained from film premieres, studios, and from autographed hounds such as the one in the story above.
